Leontien Peeters

Representative The Netherlands

Leontien is a creative leader with over 15 years of experience in network building, public-private partnerships, public sector transformation and complex systems change. She holds a masters degree in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam (UvA).

Before joining the Foundation in April 2010, she founded the international project Youth Employment Spark and helped build the Business in Development Network. Leontien graduated from the THNK creative leadership programme in 2015 and was the Dutch youth representative to the United Nations in 2002. She serves on various public sector and academic steering committees and sounding boards.

She is the proud mother of five year-old Max and understands that no matter how much you know, the best way to support a child’s development is to be (able to be) present and responsive, while balancing work and care responsibilities.
