The Indian Express reports on how Bhubaneswar is taking forward its child-friendly agenda through 3D artworks and storytelling events timed to coincide with the Men’s Hockey World Cup, being held in the city from 28 November to 16 December 2018.

Bhubaneswar has previously articulated the aim of becoming India’s first child-friendly smart city, with technical expertise funded by the Bernard van Leer Foundation in collaboration with the National Institute of Urban Affairs.

Sujit Mohapatra of the Bakul Foundation, which is working with the city to boost tourism through sport and attractions for a younger audience, told the newspaper: “The mandate is to make Bhubaneswar the country’s most child-friendly destination”.
