BvLF brings Urban95 to NACTO’s Designing Cities Conference

Published October 31, 2018

Earlier this month BvLF Programme Director Cecilia Vaca-Jones presented on “streets for all ages” at the National Association of City Transportation Officials’ annual Designing Cities Conference in Los Angeles, which attracted almost a thousand participants from 150 cities. Some participants also participated in an Urban95 Expert Assembly we organised in Los Angeles to coincide with our sponsorship of the NACTO event.

Cecilia says:

“When streets are safe for kids, everyone comes together and this can transform a city. Designing streets for kids means thinking about every part of a journey to make the time spent more fun and playful. There are innovative tools to reduce traffic fatalities and create more vibrant, sustainable cities, but when it comes to urban mobility it is important to think about the politics and prove the impact of policies.”
