Cities invited to apply for “Streets for Kids” training and funds

Published February 1, 2019

Applications are now open for cities to join the Streets for Kids programme, part of NACTO’s Global Designing Cities Initiative. Twelve global cities will be selected to receive either technical assistance or one-off workshops on street designs that create safe public spaces for kids of all ages and abilities to learn, play and move around a city.

Four cities will receive technical guidance and limited matching funds through 2021, which will follow in-depth training tailored to each location. Eight further cities will receive similar tailored trainings. All cities are eligible, and cities in low- and middle-income countries will be prioritized.

The deadline for applications is Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. ET (New York City time). Read more and apply here.
