Lima launches Urban95 course for public officials

Published January 14, 2019

The Municipality of Lima has set up a training programme in creating friendly, stimulating and safe public spaces, in collaboration with the Foundation’s Urban95 programme. Aimed at public officials of local governments, professionals, students and citizens involved in childhood issues, it will run through February and March.

The course plans to scale at city level Urban95 projects currently active in Carabayllo, Chorrillos, Comas, Central Lima and San Juan de Miraflores. Guided by international experts, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on the main challenges faced by their communities in improving living conditions and creating safe spaces for babies and toddlers. Making Lima a good city for babies will result in a better city for all. Further details, in Spanish, are reported in the Peruvian media outlet Andina.
