Brazilian partner wins the 2016 Calouste Gulbenkian Prize

A partner of the Bernard van Leer Foundation, the Sustainable Amazonas Foundation, has won the 2016 Calouste Gulbenkian Prize. The prize, worth EUR 250,000, was set up to recognise defence of values essential to the human condition. Among a range of other activities, the Sustainable Amazonas Foundation is supported by the Bernard van Leer Foundation to reach families in remote areas with home visits from health workers.
