Thaís Sanches Cardoso

Thaís studied Social Communications and Public Relations and has an MBA in Digital Business. Before joining the Bernard van Leer Foundation she worked as Coordinator at Instituto Alana, where she was responsible for managing the journalistic platform about childhood, Lunetas, and discovered her passion for promoting children’s rights.

Thaís has also worked at the Innovation Center for Brazilian Education (CIEB), where she prototyped public policy for education and technology with the Ministry of Education, the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES), education departments at municipal and state level and private partners.

As Programme Coordinator for Brazil, Thais facilitates the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Bernard van Leer Foundation’s investments in the country.
