By design: the thinking behind Uruguay Crece Contigo – Planners mull ambitious early childhood model in Chile
The first part of a two-part case study exploring the decision-making process of Uruguayan political leaders when creating Uruguay Crece Contigo (“Uruguay grows with you”), a national programme on early childhood development inspired by another programme in neighbouring Chile. This first part focuses on Chile Crece Contigo, while the second part describes how Uruguayan policymakers ultimately designed a different kind of programme based on their national context.
One of a series of case studies developed by the Harvard Kennedy School for the Bernard van Leer Foundation-sponsored executive education course in scaling early childhood programmes.
