Designing Streets for Kids

Designing Streets for Kids sets a new global baseline for designing urban streets with a focus on the specific needs of babies, children, and their caregivers by seeing them as pedestrians, cyclists, and transit users in urban streets around the world. This design resource builds upon the approach of putting people first, offering practical solutions and inspiration to make streets safer and more welcoming for all.

Designing Streets for Kids is developed by the Global Designing Cities Initiative (GDCI), with the support of Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Bernard Van Leer Foundation, the FIA Foundation, and Fondation Botnar.

Designing Streets for Kids is available in English, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Turkish.
